The White Lady of Tulale
A long time ago, a woman by the name of Mengie made a promise, a panata, to God that she will wear all-white clothes. This symbolizes her unwavering faith and conviction that she will follow God's will even if it is hard, even if it is not the popular thing to do. And so she made this panata and kept her promise.
One day, her father-in-law Oriculo made her promise that she will take care of the land that he had bought from his pension money so that it will become his legacy to his children. Since Mengie had a good mood then, and perhaps it was God's will for her to follow her father-in-law, she did as she was told and took care of the land. The land was behest with poachers, miners and good-for-nothing people who want to rob Oriculo of his land and its produce. But even in Oriculo's death, Mengie stood steadfast in her promise. With her presence, the other bad people were driven away and the land was cleansed again.
Mengie, always dressed in white, was a curious figure in the eyes of the people in that town called Bulalacao. Most people would often ask her why she dressed in all white, but she just said that it was her promise. So, in that small sitio called Tulale (or Tulali) that only two people own (Oriculo and a neighbor, the late Mr. Ben Salas), it became a well-known fact that a "White Lady" was always seen. Of course, it just turns out to be Mengie with her all-white clothes.
Our resort is a place of wonder. Not just because of the "White Lady" that takes care of the place but because the place itself is truly mystical. It seems untouched, and you will be filled with wonder why in such a place, there are lots to see, lots of things to do and you feel so refreshed and relieved of stress when you rest.
Come and visit us in White Lady's Resort and see for yourself the magic, wonder and relaxation that our place brings. Visit us to see my Grandfather's legacy. Let us tour you around our beach, trek through our trails, wash your worries in our spring and let your stress be relieved.
